Delivery Partner Terms
These Delivery Partner Terms govern riders, drivers, and logistics partners who fulfill deliveries on the Servana platform. By registering as a delivery partner, you agree to these terms alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Independent Contractor Status
Delivery partners are independent contractors, not employees of Servana or Nortbitech Groups. You choose when to go online and accept delivery assignments. You are responsible for your own vehicle maintenance, fuel, insurance, taxes, and compliance with traffic laws.
2. Registration Requirements
To become a delivery partner, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old with a valid government-issued ID
- Complete KYC verification including NIN or National ID
- Hold a valid driver's license (for motor vehicles) or appropriate documentation
- Pass a background check
- Provide vehicle registration and proof of valid insurance
- Register a verified bank account for earnings payout
- Complete Servana's onboarding training on delivery standards and app usage
3. Vehicle & Equipment
Accepted vehicle types include motorcycles, bicycles, cars, and vans depending on delivery category and location. You must maintain your vehicle in safe, roadworthy condition. For food and grocery deliveries, insulated bags or containers may be required to maintain product quality.
4. Going Online & Accepting Deliveries
When you go online in the delivery partner app, you become available for assignment. You may accept or decline delivery requests, though consistently declining may affect your priority for future assignments. Once accepted, you are committed to completing the delivery.
5. Delivery Process
- Receive assignment notification with pickup location, delivery address, and order details
- Navigate to pickup location using in-app GPS (Google Maps integration)
- Confirm pickup with vendor/restaurant and verify order contents
- Enable real-time location sharing during active delivery
- Navigate to customer delivery address
- Capture proof of delivery (photo, signature, or OTP confirmation)
- Mark delivery as completed in the app
6. Real-Time Location Tracking
During active deliveries, your GPS location is shared with customers for tracking purposes. Location data is collected only while you are online and on an active delivery. You may disable location when offline. See our Privacy Policy for data handling details.
7. Earnings & Payouts
Earnings are calculated per completed delivery based on:
- Base delivery fee (distance-based)
- Surge pricing during peak demand (where applicable)
- Tips from customers (100% passed to you)
- Bonuses for completing delivery targets
Platform fees are deducted from each delivery. Payouts are processed to your verified bank account on a weekly schedule or upon request above the minimum threshold. View earnings history and request payouts in the delivery partner app.
8. Proof of Delivery
You must capture valid proof of delivery for every order. Acceptable methods include:
- Photo of package at delivery location
- Customer signature on device
- OTP/code verification from customer
Failure to provide proof may delay earnings release and affect your account standing.
9. Customer Interaction Standards
Delivery partners must:
- Be courteous and professional with customers and vendors
- Handle packages carefully, especially fragile and food items
- Contact customer via in-app call/chat if unable to locate address
- Never open, consume, or tamper with order contents
- Follow contactless delivery instructions when requested
10. Safety Requirements
You must comply with all Nigerian traffic laws, wear required safety gear (helmets for motorcycles), and not operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Report accidents or safety incidents to Servana immediately at safety@servana.ng.
11. Prohibited Conduct
Delivery partners may not: steal or tamper with orders, harass customers, use unauthorized substitutes for delivery, share account credentials, or complete deliveries outside the Servana app to avoid fees.
12. Account Deactivation
Servana may deactivate partners for: safety violations, theft, consistently poor ratings, failure to maintain valid documents, or fraudulent activity. Pending earnings for legitimately completed deliveries will be paid out.
