Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy defines prohibited activities on the Servana platform. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, wallet freeze, and referral to law enforcement. This policy applies to all users regardless of role.
1. General Conduct
You must use Servana lawfully, honestly, and in good faith. You may not use the platform to harm others, circumvent platform rules, or engage in activities that undermine the integrity of our marketplace.
2. Prohibited Activities
Fraud & Deception
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating others
- Providing false identity or business information during registration or KYC
- Payment fraud, stolen card usage, or chargeback abuse
- Manipulating reviews, ratings, or search rankings
- Fake orders to inflate sales metrics or abuse promotions
- Phishing or social engineering targeting other users
Illegal Content & Transactions
- Selling or promoting illegal drugs, weapons, or explosives
- Trafficking stolen goods or counterfeit products
- Money laundering or terrorist financing through wallet or payments
- Sale of products requiring licenses without valid authorization (pharmaceuticals, alcohol, etc.)
- Human trafficking, exploitation, or illegal services
- Content violating Nigerian law or international sanctions
Platform Abuse
- Automated scraping, crawling, or data harvesting without permission
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or hacking the platform
- Denial-of-service attacks or attempts to overload systems
- Circumventing platform fees by directing transactions off-platform
- Creating multiple accounts to abuse promotions, referrals, or new-user bonuses
- Spamming users with unsolicited messages or advertisements
- Uploading malware, viruses, or harmful code
Harassment & Harmful Content
- Harassment, threats, bullying, or intimidation of other users
- Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or sexual orientation
- Posting sexually explicit content outside approved categories
- Sharing others' private information without consent (doxxing)
- Stalking or unwanted persistent contact
Intellectual Property Violations
- Selling counterfeit or unauthorized replica products
- Using copyrighted images, logos, or content without permission
- Trademark infringement in product listings or store branding
3. Vendor & Provider-Specific Rules
- Misrepresenting product condition, origin, or specifications
- Bait-and-switch pricing or false advertising
- Refusing to fulfill accepted orders without valid reason
- Performing unlicensed regulated services
- Overcharging beyond agreed quotes without customer approval
4. Delivery Partner Rules
- Stealing, tampering with, or consuming order contents
- Completing deliveries outside the app to avoid platform tracking
- Sharing account credentials with unauthorized riders
- Operating vehicles without valid license or insurance
5. Enforcement
Violations are addressed through a graduated enforcement approach:
- Warning: First-time minor violations receive a warning and education
- Content removal: Offending listings, reviews, or messages are removed
- Temporary suspension: Account access restricted for a defined period
- Permanent ban: Account terminated for serious or repeated violations
- Legal referral: Criminal activity reported to Nigerian authorities
6. Reporting Violations
Report violations via in-app reporting, email trust@servana.ng, or the dispute center. Include relevant evidence (screenshots, order numbers, message threads).
7. Appeals
If your account is suspended, you may appeal to appeals@servana.ng within 14 days with explanation and supporting evidence.
